Hello, Is it possible to install and run JIRA in an internal network that has no access to the external Internet? Specifically, does JIRA need to go out to the Internet to check for license validity? Thanks

Yes, you don't need an external connection to make it work.

True. But having internet access via a proxy or other will be handy for addon installs /updates. Without it, you'll have to manually download every JAR by hand and upload into your JIRA.
