ScriptRunner multi-groupPicker: how to convert as List of strings?

Hello!

I have VALID_GROUPS = ["jira-users", "confluence-users"];

And, custom filed where are selected the requeted groups. How i can convert customField values to string list? I must check selected groups in VALID_GROUPS.
