ScriptRunner "Send a custom email" - cannot set to "HTML"

I have created a ScriptRunner "Send a custom email" post function, and there is a dropdown where you can specify HTML or Plain Text. When I choose HTML and save it, it reverts to Plain Text. Anyone got any insight on this?

I have verified through testing that if you choose HTML, that choice is saved, and emails are, in fact, sent in HTML format. If you edit again, the field will default to Plain Text, but you can change it back to HTML. You just have to remember to do this each time you edit the post function.
