Using a Free subscription of Jira Cloud, today in ScriptRunner Enhanced Search I tried using the issueFunction in issuesInEpics() query to return child issues of Epics in a Company Managed Software project, and no results are being returned. Is anybody else having success with this function?
At least one other user is having the same problem:

Hello Trudy and Jack,
It sounds as though you are experiencing issues with our issuesInEpics function. I just did a quick spot check on a production instance and cannot reproduce that behaviour.
However, if you are using ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud you can raise a support request here and we can look into this further for you. Similarly if you are using Enhanced Search you can raise a support request here.
Please let me know if you need any further help.
Best regards
Romy

In my case, I had renamed the Epic issue type.
Adaptavist support response is that the Epic related functions don't support the rename of the Epic issue type, and that such renaming is a bad practice because it can break Jira core functionality. I have pointed out that Atlassian themselves have published an article about supporting renaming of Epics.

There is a change request for Adapatvist to support renamed Epic issue types with their Epic related functions.
