I have tried everything to try and resolve this problem. The field is viewable when creating an issue, but it is not after creation. I have looked into issue security schemes, screen schemes, and field configuration and as far as I can tell, the field should be viewable. Any help is greatly appreciated.
So I ended up contacting Atlassian support regarding this issue, and I was informed that this is a bug with the new Jira view. You can see the reported bug here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70140
There is a work-around, which is to disable the new Jira view. You can do this by clicking on your image in the bottom-right of the screen and selecting "Personal Settings" and disabling the new view in the "Labs" section.

Add the field in the edit or/and view screens. Could be that the create issue screen is different from the edit or/and view screens.

Thank you for the reply! I have included some screenshots. The screen should have the Security Level field present, and I even created a tab and added other fields to it to confirm that the tab would show up on the screen. The tab shows up, but the Security Level field does not.
