We work with a considerable backlog.
When I search for a ticket in that backlog, the result is shown thus:
So when I want to move a ticket up or down, I have to scan that long list until I find the ticket and move it where I want it to go. Surely there must be an easier way?
I would love to see my search result highlighted within the context of the list.
I'm with you on this: being able to search/highlight/see it in context is helpful.
For this, I recommend you manually invoke the Chrome (or Firefox) search feature. Doing so bypasses the "Ctrl F jump into the Jira regular search field", and allows you to use the regular Chrome search.
For Chrome (or Firefox), to manually invoke the find feature, click the 3-dot menu and choose "find":
Which enables you to search and highlight in the context of your backlog:
By the way, if this solves your issue, please be sure to tag this as the answer. Not only does it help others searching here in the forums know that the issue has been resolved, but it also helps me as I'm working to achieve Atlassian Community Leader.
Hi @Marieke van Oostende , I'm circling back through some of my posts and wanted to check and see if your question has been answered? If so, it would be great help if you would mark my reply as the answer. If there is more to work on here, that's OK, too, and feel free to share.
Marking answered tickets as answered helps to keep the Atlassian Community tickets properly classified as to whether the ticket is still open/pending/needing help - or whether it's complete.
Have a great week!
Christopher
