Seeking Advice: Adding Approval Step in Jira Workflow

I have encountered an issue in Jira Software where there's no built-in option to add an approval step in the workflow. To address this, I have added a condition to the transition, allowing it to be executed only by members of the 'approvers' project role. However, despite being an approver, I am unable to see the options to either approve(In progress) or decline. Any insights on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated

Have you checked your general project permissions scheme?
If you are only member of the Approvers project role, you need to make sure that that role also has the 'transition issues' permission for example.
