Dear Atlassian Community,
I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a project where we are keen to enhance our tracking and management capabilities using Jira. Specifically, we are looking to develop a dashboard that can effectively compare our confirmed delivery dates with the actual resolution dates of tickets.
The primary goal of this initiative is to determine if we are experiencing any delays in relation to our confirmed delivery schedules. Essentially, we want to compare the initially confirmed delivery timelines against the dates when tickets are actually closed (i.e., the resolution date).
This will enable us to:
Identify any discrepancies between planned and actual delivery times.
Understand the frequency and causes of delays.
Implement strategies for improving our delivery efficiency.
I am reaching out to seek your insights, experiences, or any advice you can offer in setting up such a dashboard in Jira. If you have previously worked on similar cases or have suggestions on the best practices for configuring Jira to track these metrics, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support and looking forward to your valuable input.
Best regards,
Ahmed Reda
