On our JIRA projects, we have notifications disabled when a comment is edited. One group is asking if we can selectively enable notifications on a per-ticket basis when a comment is edited. Is that something that is easily done or even possible to do? My easy recommendation to the user is if a notification is sent on a comment, then the users should make a new comment that they modified the previous comment, which I would think accomplishes what they desire without any modifications for notifications by admins.
Anyone have any requests like this before and what was your solution? Thanks in advance
Update....talking to the user, it's only two specific tickets they'd like this on. Looking in setting up a new notification, there's no way to limit it to particular tickets, when choosing the events and users to notify. I don't think there is a solution for this, but would be open to hear any suggestions.
