Send email from comments

Our manager has locked down our Jira project space to only our team, however it would be beneficial to be able to send registered users within our company updates from the comments, without having to copy and paste comments into an email outside of Jira.

@ mentions do not allow registered users from outside our team to access anything within story (or any other feature of our space).  Is there a function that will allow us to send an email to a registered user that we can mention in the comments and external email?
