Set Custom Field value from Scripted Field to use it in Advanced Roadmap

Case:
I create a Plan with a list of Epics
for each Epic I want to show the sum of the "Original Estimate" values from issues in the Epic itself

Solution applied:

Using Adaptavist Scriptrunner

I defined:

1. a Scripted Field where sum is calculated (working)

2. a Number custom field ("Total Original Estimate") where value from 1. is copied

In the Plan I pick the custom field ("Total Original Estimate").

Not Expected Outcomes:

Epic issue: updating Originale Estimate in an issue does not update immediately the custom field ("Total Original Estimate").

Plan: custom field ("Total Original Estimate") value does not update along with the value from the Epic issue. It looks I need to reindex the project the Epic issues belongs to.

It's not 100% exact by very close to your requirement.

HI @Ram Kumar Aravindakshan _Adaptavist_ , thanks for your suggestion, but that thread is focused on implementing the Scripted Field: that was not a problem in my case.

I successfully implemented the scripted fields and copied its value to a custom field (at least cheking with log comes out the custom field is actually synched)
Main point in my case is that as I show the custom field within a Plan, it does not update values. I have to reindex to sync values.
