Hi,
I added default values to the Checklist validator recently. But it actually duplicated my checklist item for my issues created (before i set default values to the Checklist validator).
The outcome I would like to achieve are:
- When I create a new issue, it will have the checklist default values set for me (This works)
- It will not affect my issues created before I add default values to the Checklist validator (Did not work)
Is there a way to make this work, eg: Set to add default values to tickets created after certain date?
Thank you.
Hi
I have answered you on our support portal, but I will also provide an answer here in case it helps others.
In version 5+ of our App, you can now add Default Local Items which I believe is what you are looking for. Those items will only show up when creating a new issue, and will not automatically populate the existing issues like Global Items do.
Have a nice day!
Hello
From my point of view, you want to "update" old issues with a specific value in a customField?
If this is the question, Did you try to do a JQL and a bulk action for updating?
Best regards.

Thank you for your reply. No, I am working with this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211562/checklist-for-jira?tab=overview&hosting=server
Reference:
My issue was that it actually updated the default values into my old issues which I only want to set the default value for newly created issues. The reason is because my old issues have their own checklist already (which is manually added).
