Setting Up a Test Environment for Jira – Handling Application Links and Server ID

I am in the process of creating a test environment for Jira to mimic our production server. do I need to change the server ID? When is the appropriate time to change the server ID – before starting the test Jira or after?why I need to plan to change server ID means application link...if I need to change means How its possible...

Hi,

When you build your new server, it will generate its own server ID and then ask for a licence key.  You should give it the developer key that you get with your main server licence (the developer key can be reused for many test/disaster recovery/prototyping servers).
