Jennnifer O'Brien February 19, 2013

And you're also sure that the managers are in the group "Managers" and you're not mixing it up with a project role "Managers"?

Strange...are the admin users able to fire the transition?

The condition looks fine (as long as your managers are definitely in the group "Managers" - obvious check, but we have to ask!)

We can rule out validators blocking it as it progresses.

Do your managers see any errors at all, or is it just a flat "card won't move"?

Next, look at the workflow - what two *status* are linked and in what direction?

Then look at the column definitions on the Greenhopper board - what status are included in "backlog" and "approved"?

What about the other questions Nic raised? Do the members see the transition in JIRA, I mean not on the GH board?

Jennnifer O'Brien February 19, 2013

The status are Backlog for Backlog and the Open and Reopen in To-do Approved

Yeah the managers are def in the group, and i am creating between the two status which are back log and open, see the attached pic ()

OK. But again, are they able to use the transition in JIRA?

Jennnifer O'Brien February 19, 2013

No, they don't see any errors, they just can't move between the columns, so before everyone was able to move items between the columns, the managers wanted that changed so that they were the only ones that could move items from backlog to approved, so i created the condition, then they couldn't move issues for themselves or for others

What about the other questions?

- Do your managers see any errors at all?

- Do they see the transition in JIRA?

- Has this transition been there ever since and you just decided to put a condition on it or has this been a recent update?

yes they seem to be able to move things over, just the managers were not, i initially had it as an AND condition so changed that to OR and thought that would fix it, but asked one of the managers to close their jira account and go back in and still he was not able to move them
