Setup MFA on a new device

I have MFA setup on my old phone and need to set it up on a new one. When I go to my account, I cannot disable it and re-enable it. It says I need to talk to my system admin. I am the system admin and when I go to the user accounts I dont see anywhere that I can have MFA reissued. 

How do I setup MFA on a new device when our org is enforcing MFA?

I did find a way to resolve my issue, but seems like there should be a better way.

  1. Disabled the MFA enforcement on my organization
  2. Disabled MFA on my account
  3. Enabled MFA enforcement across my organization
  4. Setup my new phone for MFA

Seems like there should be a better solution. I know I am going to be running into this in the future.

Yikes. Phones get put through a washing machine, get stolen, or left on public transport all the time.

There needs to be someway to change the linked device without disabling 2FA for the whole organisation however briefly.
