We've had the Slack Jira Cloud app installed into our Slack for several months and it's been great to get those notifications.
This week we added a new Project to Jira, but that new Project is NOT showing up on Slack.
We have looked through all the documentation and tried to hunt down where this configuration is done but haven't found anything. Can someone point us in the right direction for how to configure this project to show up via the Slack Jira Cloud integration?
Thanks. K
Havent found convenient answer, so will post it here.
1.It really appears that at the moment "Slack integration" tab in JIRA cloud is available for already existing project and NOT being connected (no "Slack integration" tab at all) for newly created projects.
2.It is still possible to have it, but now needs to be connected manually as per following (quite fast):
- Make sure that Jira for Slack app is downloaded (free)
- Go to Slack channel, where you would like to set the connection for
- Do as per following"
"To get started, simply invite Jira bot to one of your channels or use the slash command /jira connect [your Jira URL]. Visit the Jira Server Alerts (Legacy) page in the Slack App Directory. Click Add to Slack below the Jira icon on the left. Choose a channel where you'd like Jira notifications to be posted."
- Slack will guide you further and once done, connection is established, "Slack integration" tab appears in JIRA project.
Hi Kathy,
Have your problems been solved? Did you contact the app developer for further investigation?
In case you still can't get notified about new projects created in Slack channels and the app developer cannot do anything about it, maybe you want to take a look at another integration add-on and see whether it helps.
Best,
Julie

It's really unclear from all the text describing the app who the "app builder" it. It looks like it's its Atlassian themselves. It's pretty poorly documented.
I did end up finding out how to add the new projects to feed through the app. But it was so difficult to find how to do it, that I'll have to dig for it again next time as well.
I wish there was just simple/clear documentation.

@[deleted] are the previous projects working for you still? We noticed the integration stopped working for us entirely today. We are on JIRA Cloud also.

We did have a change on Jira recorded to Slack today so existing projects do look like they are still working. Just not the new projects.
