Slack notification on change of issue type

We have Slack integration set up so that a notification is sent for certain issue types raised (Bug). However, if a ticket is raised as a Story by mistake and then moved to a Bug, the notification isn't sent. Is there a way to fix this? Is this by design?

Can I ask why the decision was made not to notify on issue change type? We would also find the above helpful (being notified when a ticket turns into a bug)

I don't have history on the decision making process unfortunately, I suspect it just wasn't one of the highest priority use cases to support.

Ill tag the current owner of the integration, @Muthukumar Ravishankar for him to see this feature request.

You can also file a feature suggestion on jira.atlassian.com. 

This can be a good way to see if other orgs need the same functionality.

This is by design. Currently, we do not have any functionality to notify on issue type change.
