Smart Commits - trouble shooting

We have Bitbucket server 5.9.1 and Jira 7.8.2.  We've made an application Link between BB and Jira.  We tried doing the stuff from documentation below, but when we click Smart Commits in Application Links, nothing happens.  No user accounts show up.

I've tried including smart commits in my git commit, then pushed up to our BB server, but the Jira ticket is not updated with comments or work log items.  However, the Jira ticket does have link to the number of commits now.

Please advise.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A JIRA administrator can control Smart Commits for each account in the connected application (Bitbucket Server, FishEye or Crucible).

Enable or disable Smart Commits on individual accounts:

  1. Log in to JIRA as a user with the JIRA Administrator permissions.
  2. Choose > Applications. Select Application Links in the left menu.
  3. Click Smart Commits for the application.
  4. Select the checkbox for the account you want to enable Smart Commits for.

We have the same issue here. When I click on "Smart commits" nothing happens, so I'm not able to activate this feature.

Looks like it is fixed in 7.9.0+
