The text input area in the Smart Form interface is currently very narrow — it only displays about 3 lines of text at a time, which makes it difficult to write or review longer responses.
This significantly affects usability, especially when filling out detailed answers or multi-paragraph entries. It would be helpful if the form allowed the text area to:
Automatically expand as users type more.
Or be resized manually (drag to expand).
Impact:
This limitation leads to constant scrolling and reduces visibility, which increases the chance of errors or incomplete submissions.
Thanks Vitalii! I totally agree!
I'm wondering if there is another official way to submit improvement suggestions, beyond just posting here in the forum? Would love to make sure the feedback actually reaches the right team. Appreciate your offer- might take you up on that DM! :)
Great point, Maggie I've noticed the same issue. Having such a limited view really disrupts the writing flow, especially for longer or more thoughtful inputs. It’s easy to lose track of what you’ve written, and constant scrolling just adds unnecessary friction.
Auto-expanding or resizable fields would be a big UX win here. Hopefully the team takes this into account in future updates.
If you'd like to swap thoughts or need advice on workarounds, feel free to DM me.
