Some tickets appear in the Active sprint view but not in the backlog view

I've created a consolidated board to include multiple projects. Some of the tickets appear on the active sprint view but are not included on the backlog view. Only some, not all of them

@Robert Whitehead: Based on the little information shared above, the backlog view in JIRA will/does not show you the active (current) sprint.
The active sprint & backlog view are supposed to be distinct views, by design. Any issues (tickets) showing in backlog will not show up in your active (current) sprint.
If you may share more details, there maybe a solution to what you maybe looking for.
