I have various projects I've created over the past few months of using Jira. When I have my weekly meeting, I'd like to go to "projects" then view all active projects, but all I get is all projects, whether completed or not. Am I not completing projects out properly? Or is there a way to sort by active projects vs. completed?
If it helps, I verified that in these "completed projects", there are no active sprints, therefore nothing in the "to do", "in process" or "done" sections.
If there is a better method for a project manager to quickly see tasks and sub tasks for a weekly update meeting with our engineers, that input might be better than what my perception of what this should do.
You can create a filter to see your tasks and sub tasks, to do this, You should click issues and than seach for issues. You can seach which issues you would like to follow. Save this filter and create a dashboard using it. You need to share your filter before share your dashboard with someelse and its depend your configuration.

Welcome to the community!
First of all, there is no way that we can sort out the projects on the basis of like active or inactive in Jira.
I would say one thing that you can archive projects those are completed or not required now, might be those projects will require in future then you should go with the Online archive.
So that peoples are able to see only those projects they have the access once they will click on view all project.
Here is the detail documentation about Online Archiving.
