When we do releases our version numbers are dates like 150328

We often release multiple projects with the same release version

When trying to setup a filter to show recent releases, and order by fixVersion it doesnt work, it always sorts by project then fix version.

Is this a bug, is there a way around this.

Bothered me too. It's a bug and there's currently no way to work around.

They're gonna work on it if it gets enough votes: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-59992

Please vote for it, thanks!

No this answer is wrong.

It sorts by project then fix version, rather than sorting by fixversion first. This is the issue.

Hi Dale,

This is a default setting on JIRA since the fixVersion field has the same name for multiple projects. It does the order by using fixVersion and then project.

Hope this clarifies a bit! smile
