Sorting in Jira Macro does not work

I want to specify a sorting (Order by) in a Jira Macro in Confluence. There is already a question. It is marked as solved but the issue is not resolved. Entering this in the Jira macro has no result on the sorting of the output. Is there a working workaround available?

project = ABC ORDER BY "xyz"

Apparently, it does work, but sometimes the "Order by" statement is ignored when first setting it up.
