I ran into an apparent "issue" which doesn't make much sense since the change is small but the impact was huge.
I have a project which I was asked to add a status which I did and then added it to the their board. Little did I know that adding the status apparently updated the burn down.

It just boggles my mind why a status change has anything to do with changing the burndown chart at all in such a way. I lost the guideline,the original total hours for the sprint and a weird spike appeared. Everything was already sized prior to the sprint start and no issues were added or removed.
Has anyone seen this before? What did you do to compensate? Where there support tickets put in for this?
