To fit "Definition of Ready" into our workflow, we transition issues from "Open" to "Ready to Start", which is a custom status in the category "To Do".

However, when I pull up the Sprint Health gadget on day 1 of the sprint, when all stories are Ready to Start, the gadget shows that all stories are In Progress.

Is there a reason I can't think of as to why it might display like this?  It means that none of our work ever shows as not started (blue) in the gadget.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Yes, this is because the Sprint Health Gadget do not represent the issue statuses, but the Issue Status categories:

  1. Blue (To Do) - Only considers the status in the first column of the board
  2. Yellow (In Progress) - Considers all the status in the columns between the first and the last column of the board
  3. Green (Done) - Only considers the status in the last column of the board

An Atlassian issue has already been raised on the subject, you can upvote it using the following link :

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-20699?error=login_required&error_description=Login+required&state=280c6fea-f87a-4e99-8a89-4740c3f63339

As a Workaround, several Add-Ons can allow you to filter using the way you defined your statuses, like for instance :

Time Reports

Let me know if it helped or not,

Guilhem

Thank you - this is helpful.  I've upvoted the issue.  The Time Reports won't deliver what I need unfortunately.

Cheers,

Peter.
