Sprint info missing after fixing Jira issue.

GCouh June 28, 2022

Faced the ClassNotFoundException: com.google.javascript.jscomp.AbstractCompiler

Exception in thread "JIRA-Bootstrap" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/javascript/jscomp/AbstractCompiler.

Not sure how to fixed the issue. Hence rm the atlassian-jira folder and replace it form the standalone downloaded from jira site. Problem is resolved.

However, when jira start up, I realized that all mine jira issue is still in place. However the project sprint and sprint backlog is missing.

How do i recover these details?

Hi

Have you try a full re-index ?

Are all boards empty or only some of them ?

If you create a board based on a filter that do not order by Rank, does the issues appear ?

If yes you probably have to re-do the lexorank (gg lexorank)

What do you mean by full re-index?

Originally on the left panel, there is a sprint tab and backlog tab.

However, after fixing the issue, only the issue tab is left. The sprint and backlog tab disappeared. I was wondering where the sprint data is located at?

Originally, I thought that the data is stored in the application-data folder. However, even though I fixed the Jira issue without touching the application-data folder but the details regarding the sprint and backlog disappear.

Actually I think I managed to resolved the issue by installing Jira software and restarting jira.

Right, this feature belongs to Jira Software ( Sprints, Agile Boards, Issues in Epic)

Data is store in the db, when you disable/ uninstall something the table/ data is not deleted and should show up when you re-install it.

so you are saying that the jira software data is stored in the database folder with the rest of jira application data and not stored on cloud or anywhere else?

Then what about the jira software itself. Is it working as a plugin or a jar file? and where is it installed at?
