Hi all,
We introduced a new custom Issue type for categorizing a special type of Issue. This is all fine and working, but the team would like to estimate the issues with story points as they do normally. This is to plan sprint correctly and to have reports take work on these issues into account.
I tried looking around the forums and SO, but no luck (most answers were old and not usable anymore).
Does anyone know how to add Story Points to a custom Issue type, and have them count as Story Points in the reports, Issue card on the SCRUM board, etc.?
Hi @Sune Hinz,
if I remember correctly, you just have to make sure to have the Story Point field enabled for the custom issue type and have the Estimation method on the scrum board set to Story Points.
Hej @Bastian Stehmann,
The Story Point field is enabled for the issue type and also enabled for the screen used for creating and editing the issue type. The problem seems to be that the field is out of scope for the project (even though we can use it on stories in the same project).

Geeez - How blind can I be!
The very screenshot I just sent pointed me directly to where the problem was. The 'Story Point' field was not applied to the issue type.
Thanks anyways @Bastian Stehmann :)
