Suggest me the best way to add a option in workflow to ask clarification at any time to any user

Hi All,

I want to have a option in workflow for asking clarification to any of the user (irrespective of teams) at any time (From any status of issue). Is that possible ... ?? If so, please provide me best solution.

It is a straightforward case in which you add a transistion from a status with the destination status as the same one. And for the transistion associate a screen which contains the fields in which you expects the user to give the updates.

The only caveat is that, you will have to add this transition in every state!

but how do you ask the user to execute this step ? You have to assign the issue to the user, so he can enter the missing information and assign it back to you. Maybe an assignment and a comment is all you need.

Or a telephone ;-)

That means, I have to add a new transition (clarification) to all the statuses in the workflow and this new transition ends up in same status (only assignee is changing) with appropriate screens ??

Example,

If issue is in "dev in progress", I have to add a clarification trasition with transition screen to this status and destination of clarification will be same "dev in progress", Is this is the correct solution ???

Sorry, I'm not getting the option "return to step" in global transition, only getting the statuses which I created in workflow and "no result step" . Please help.

I guess better option is that, will remain in the same status and ask user for a clarification ... Is that fine ??? So my propblem is that how i will achieve this .... Pls suggest me .... Thanks
