I'm currently facing an issue with the summary text display in my Jira cloud instance that,
After creation of an issue in the summary field it shows 'Autogenerated' into the summary field (Not showing what i added initially ). weird thing is happening to few projects not all . Requesting to guide me .. thank you in advance

I checked the above point mentioned ,, and found that there was issue into my workflow where i set the post function accidentality (summary set to autogenerated) . i removed that
this is resolved now .. thank you

do you have any Marketplace Apps installed? Apps like Scriptrunner can edit fields.
Checking out the issue history like @Sebastian Krzewiński suggested is the first step though.

Please check ticket history to find if summary was changed after creation.
It looks like there is an automation rule that do that.

It don't have to be your rule. Maybe someone else create it.
