Hello. I've received an email on Jan 10 coming from
info@e.atlassian.com, telling about some new billing management system in Japanese. I don't speak Japanese and nowhere do I have it set up as my language. The sender appears as verified in Gmail. The links in the email lead to https://click.e.atlassian.com.
1) Is it a scam? No way it isn't, but would like to verify.
2) If it is, how did the fact about me having an account end up leaking to scammers, Atlassian? I don't even use Jira actively, let alone link my Jira account anywhere.
Thanks
Hello @G M ,
I am responding about the Escalation to Atlassian, and taking a look.
I can Verify that this e-mail did indeed come from us, but I am unsure as to why it was sent to you in Japanese. Everything I can see so far looks like an error on our end deploying the notification.
I see that you already created a Security repot about this but I am going to create an internally facing support request to get you in tough with our Customer Advocates team instead to dig in a little deeper into the account settings to see what triggered this e-mail to be sent in this manner.
Please use the following Request for additional actions with our Customer Advocates teams investigation:

Earl
Hello @G M
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I have flagged your post to raise it to the awareness of the Atlassian Team. You should hear from them within 2 business days.
The email address info@e.atlassian.com is a legitimate email address used by Atlassian to communicate with clients. The fact that you received the email would generally be an indication that you have been specified as a Billing Contact or Organization Admin for some Atlassian Cloud product. As to why the text is in Japanese, I have no idea.

I got a suspicious email from no_reply@am.atlassian.com
There are only 6 users and the free plan should allow 10 users. Can someone verify that this is legitimate?

Hi @Gerard
Yes it is legitimate. You appear to have started a trial of another Jira Cloud site. It appears that you have downgraded it to a free plan.

Hi @G M , welcome to the Community. Indeed that appears to be a phishing email and recommend reporting to security.
