Swimlane based on Stories -> Extend with grouping by standard issuetype

Nicole_Brueckner June 24, 2025

Dear community,

We have the following question:

If we configure the board swimlanes based on Story, this setup works fine for the Issue Type "Story" for sure, but we would like to enable this for all Standard Issue Types.

For example in this case we would like that those tasks behave the same like the Story above,

Any idea how to solve this?

Best regards-,

Nicole

Hi @Nicole_Brueckner

It works the same for all standard issue types even if the drop-down only say "Stories". If you add sub-tasks to the Tasks in "Other issues" they will display in the same way.

But if they don't contain any subtasks it has nothing to group them by.

Hi @Nicole_Brueckner

@Staffan Redelius is right, if you want you can create swim lanes on JQL queries.
