Sync issues between two instance(Cloud instance and Server Instance)
we are currently using Jira cloud and our customer is using Jira server. I need to sync the issues across instances.
If a ticket gets created in my customer instance, the same ticket with all details should be created in our instance.
How's this possible?
Hi @Rahul
as @Hauke Bruno Wollentin mentioned there are apps which were developed for exactly this purpose. I'd recommend to search for issue sync apps on Atlassian's Marketplace.
I'm part of the team behind Backbone Issue Sync. If you want to try out our app, you can find a small getting started guide in our documentation. For synchronizing a Server and a Cloud instance, Backbone performs all the sync work originating from the Server instance so that there's no special need to open up your firewalls as long as they allow outgoing traffic to your Jira.
Cheers,
Matthias.

@Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ If I feel to use this add-on, does this add-on need to be installed in both the instances??
Will it be charged in both the instances for the add-on?

You need a license for both instances for our add-on as well for all the others AFAIK.
If you're really asking about installation, Backbone offers remote licensing where you only need to install Backbone on the Server side and wouldn't need an installation on the Cloud side. However, this wouldn't save you money - but maybe some setup hazzle.
We're right now in the process of developing this mode also this way so that you can setup everything on the Jira Cloud side and don't need to install Backbone on the Server side.
If you want to discuss your exact use case, feel free to also reach out to support.k15t.com.

There is a plugin by Deviniti for this use-case which works like a charm (but you need to buy a license for both Jiras)
