I'm attempting to install Jira in a new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS vm, and during step 2

sudo ./atlassian-jira-software-7.8.0-x64.bin

I'm getting an error message below.............................

Unpacking JRE...

Starting Installer...

/home/Downloads/atlassian-jira-software-7.8.0-x64.bin.9297.dir/jre/bin/java: 1: /home/Downloads/atlassian-jira-software-7.8.0-x64.bin.9297.dir/jre/bin/java:Syntax error: end of file unexpected (expecting "0")

Try sudo'ing to root.

Alternatively, you could install the standalone version. I find this faster, easier and more reliable than using the installer.
