Hello.
I am trying to display information on the logged hours utilization with regards to Account Type for a Tempo team and individual team members. This is apparently available in Server but not, it seems, in Cloud version. I can see some chat in the community going back to 2019 asking for this and some answers placing this on some roadmap. Has this still not been implemented on Tempo Cloud?
Account types is a core setup part of Accounts and I am perplexed as to why it would be a problem to display this data. You can set Account Type perimeter in Reports but this does not suffice in displaying properly the proportion a team logs Billable, Operational, Capitalized and Internal hours. This is needed on a per customer level and just as important a global level. This is such an important part of running a business dependant on billable hours for revenue and frankly there should be a dashboard gadget for this.
Am I overlooking some function that can display this for me or is this truly not available?
Hello @Guðni Kári Gylfason
Unfortunately, there is no solid alternative or workaround in Tempo Cloud for the use case that you are asking about and implementing the Utilization Report in Timesheets Cloud is currently not in the roadmap. New cloud functionality is being worked on that will address some of the use cases of the Utilization Report but we are currently only in the early design phases. We greatly appreciate your feedback and I'll make sure to communicate it to the right people.
Hi @Guðni Kári Gylfason here's an overview of the feature parity between Server/Data Center and Cloud: Tempo Timesheets Server/Data Center vs. Cloud
The Utilization Report is tracked in Tempo Idea T-I-143

Thank you @Dave Mathijs
Not sure what to make of this though. This is not a feature request. Account category type is a core setup part of Tempo Accounts. The data is there from the start. Not being able to display analysis regarding utilization of these account types in my mind is not logical and goes against the intended usability of Tempo Accounts.
I would very much like to know what the thinking is here at Tempo and get clear answers as to if they intend to implement this and then when. Are they waiting and weighing the option of doing away with the original Accounts setup and move entirely to the per project billable vs not setup?
This information would be most helpful when advising customers on setup as well as my own account setup strategy.
