I can only find Basic Authotization for connecting with the tempo api. I would however like to use POST requests using a safer OAuth method for which is possible on Jira Cloud.

I tried following the cloud example for authorization but I cannot find the Data Access tab under tempo Settings. (I only have tempo worklogs installed)

Hi @Marco Noppen

Tempo REST APIs on Server/DC only require basic authentication.

If you want to use OAuth authentication, you can use the JIRA OAuth token for Tempo calls.

Please take a look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/2808512535/Can+I+use+the+JIRA+OAuth+authentication+for+Tempo+Server+DC+REST+API and  https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/using-personal-access-tokens-1026032365.html
for more information.
