The XRay app was working fine few days back and without any notification on Jira or mail, it has started showing 'Invalid License'.
We have a lot of test cases there that cannot be accessed right now. If anyone could help with
1. If there is a license key that needs to be updated or anything else?
2. How can we get the test cases - data back?
3. I have been reading that the basic functionality of XRay is free, so why is this happening?

according to the xray marketplace page and as I experienced in the past there is only a free trial version for 30 days. After that you have to subscribe a paid version (see pricing site of xray).
As far as I know data and configuration will be kept and available again as soon as there is a license subscription.

Atlassian manages the licensing, so it is best to contact Atlassian support:

Since the Xray support will not be able to help when the problem is with licensing.
