Hi, when I want to mention someone in a JIRA comment and write @[name of person], the name of the user does not come up. In other words, I cannot address other members of the team in the project. Any ideas about the reason for this? Thanks.
Ricardo
Hi Ricardo,
To @mention users, you need to have the Browse Users global permission. Do you know if the group you belong to as a user (eg. the default is jira-users) have the Browse Users global permission activated?
I think you also need to ensure the user you're trying to @mention can see the issue - this is managed via project permission schemes, via the permission Browse Projects.

Thank you very much Stephen. I will find out if the Browse Users global permission is activated. Thank you very much. Best, Ricardo.

Not a problem Ricardo - I hope this fixes it for you. I do find some teams turn off Browse User especially where it's a multi-client system as Browse User is not just for notifications - and does mean you can see all other users.
If this doesn't fix your problem reach back out - if it does though, please let me know by pressing accept answer :D
