We want to use time tracking in the following way:
1. A piece of work is identified and described and a time estimate entered eg 5d
2. A developer identifies part of the work in more detail and creates a subtask. He estimates this will take 2d. Instead of subtracting from the parent, the subtask is added. This the estimate for the parent should be either:
a) 3d if "Include subtasks is unchecked)
b) 5d if "Include subtasks is checked"
Also, the subtasks show as % complete but the length of time estimated is not displayed.
Can anyone help?
Time recording with subtasks and time estimates? Why not go for Replicon ( http://www.replicon.com/) , where time tracking software already integrated and subtask creations is unlimited in project management application.
No more switching between platforms, all just in one interface. Everything you need will get in a single platform plus more tools including time card, time clock, billing, invoicing and many more.
This is a change in behavior to how JIRA works and would definitely need some change to JIRA system plugins.
