Timeline to used planned start and end dates instead of start and end dates

Hi there, 

I would like to use my story planned start and end dates instead of the start and end dates fields to plot the stories below for an epic. Currently it only shows the timeline if I add start and due dates. 

How can I change this?

Hi @Angela 

This isn't possible in Timeline view unfortunately; the Timeline only works if you set the Start and Due Date fields.

Aside from manually populating these fields, your native options are:

• Use Automation to populate Start/Due Date, based on the Planned Start/End Date fields, to avoid needing to populate both sets of fields manually
• Upgrade to Jira Premium and use Plans, where the date fields for the timeline bars can be customised
