Hello,

We have our own daily activity record logged separately according to the same Issues created in Jira, where it lists out the actual hours of the particular each Jira issue.

I'v come to the knowledge that we can mention the original estimate  time while creating new Issue in Jira.

I wanted to know is that possible to import the file of actual hours logged as a CSV file into Jira to compare my original estimate hours with actual hours and generate a report?

Please advice

Thank you,

Syed

Hi neel@godbtech.com,

You can import original estimate using the CSV import, see documentation: Importing data from CSV

Please note that you'll have to import original estimate in seconds.

Hope this helps,

- Manon

Hi Manon

Firstly, thanks for your reply

Actually to import Original estimate, I think we can enter directly in the Jira site itself.

but what I need to import is actual timing only to which Issues are already created in Jira site along with original estimate.

So, is it my requirement is possible ? Manon

Thanks,

- Syed

Hi Syed,

My bad, I misread your post. You can indeed import actual timing, you'll want to import values to the "Time spent" field.

Best,

- Manon
