Transfer Zephyr data from instance to another instance.

Hello ALL,

We are migrating Jira projects from one instance to another instance, projects which we are migrating have Zephyr Test cases. The instance which we are migrating doesn't have Zephyr add-on. How can we migrate Zephyr add-on data without add-on?.

Can we convert the Test Cases in to another issue type and move?.

Migration of Zephyr data from one server to another is not supported out of the box as this is a part of JIRA's functionality we relay on. We only support complete JIRA xml back up and restore for Zephyr data.

In your case if you move change the zephyr issue type to anything else, the associated functionality and the data would be lost. 

I would suggest you to follow the approach of exporting the test cases from the search test execution page. Import the same to the other instance.

Please note that the execution,cycle, link details can't be migrated with the importer utility or internal importer.
