Transition failed - Field Parent is required.

Hi guys,

Exploring Jira Cloud faced with a bug (?)

Team managed project:

I added a validation of field Parent on transition. 

 

Checking this rule, the field is not empty:

But during the transition I receive this message:

....what am i missing? What is the problem?

Validators checks the fields available on the transition screen, if you don't have your field show in the transition screen, the validator will not find it and give an error that it's not set (because in this context it's not). It you have a transition screen, make sure the parent field is present in it, if not, it might be best to use a condition rather than a validator.

in team-managed projects the are no transition screens 

and everything is fine with other fields =(
