I'm trying to automatically transition a Subtask, (using a different workflow in the same project), to a new status when it's parent issue reaches a certain stage of the workflow..

Whatever I do, I get a choke that says "Found no transition available for issue" so I'm guessing it's because the workflow it should be transitioning through is different to the Parent Issue?

If anyone has any suggestions  for a resolution they'd be most welcome.

Hi John,

the Transition Linked Issues post-function works just fine if linked issues (subtasks in your case) use a different workflow, whether you specify a transition name or ID.

You need to make sure that:

- the transition is indeed available (visible) on the subtask when you transition the parent issue

- the user you configured as "run as user" has the appropriate permission to transition the subtask

If you can't figure out what is going wrong, I recommend you raise a support request at https://innovalog.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/10
