Transitions in JIRA are not showing the correct username

We have renamed users to match LDAP usernames in preparation of moving to a Delegated LDAP authenticaton.

We have now noticed that transitions in JIRA are no longer showing the correct username for renamed users.

Please get in touch with us and we will be able to provide the appropriate screenshots.

I understand your concern. This bug also affects issues that were created after the user was renamed. This scenario is being discussed on private comments by Atlassian Staff

I would suggest you to vote for that bug in order to increase its visibility.

Hi, in the Transitions tab, the Last Executor field is showing the old username regardless of when the ticket was created.

In the discussion of the ticket you linked me, Oswaldo mentions that the change history is immutable.

1) username was ABC when the issue was created

2) user made transition changes to the issue

3) user is renamed to DEF

4) user made more transition changes to the issue

RESULT: change history is always ABC

In our case, the rename happened first, then the issue is created and worked on. We still see the old usernames.
