Two Boards from two separate projects are linking Sprints

We had two boards related to two separate projects. The Board settings highlight that they are only related to the relevant projects.

However, the Sprint name is the same. If I switch between the two boards and change the name of the current sprint it affects both boards.

I did move some issues from two other projects to our BAU board but made no conscious change to link the boards or sprint names. The tasks moved without issue for one project into our BAU board, adopting that board's ticketing numbers. However, one of the projects, the MYO board with the issue above linked with our BAU board, does not appear to have worked with the same methodology.

Appreciate your help.

Many thanks.

Thanks - I had seen those after this happened. Unfortunately it makes everything a major mess and confusion as the goal was to migrate from one project to another completely and thee existing sprint disappeared, nothing was closed and the foreign project sprint appears across both. Is there a way of detangling the mess?

Hello Rizwaana,

Sprints are not project or board dependent, they are Global Objects and the association is tied to the issues directly, so moving issues between projects the sprint association comes along with the issue.

Please check out the following Articles as they goes in to more detail:
