Hello!

We have license for 07/11/2018. We wanted to upgrade our jira/ confluence server

But after upgrade whe get message

Your current JIRA Software license doesn't allow you to upgrade to this version of JIRA (7.10.2). JIRA Software expired on 10/jul/17 5:00 PM, and you can currently only upgrade to versions released prior to this date. Alternatively you can renew your license at my.atlassian.com which will allow you to upgrade to this version of JIRA (7.10.2). You can enter your new license here.
See our documentation for more information on licensing errors.

But! At 11 AM and 13 PM  10/jul/17  our license still active! Why we can`t upgrade jira?

The license for Jira Software expired in 2017.  If you have a 2018 license, it is not currently applied to this Jira Server instance. You will need to apply an updated license in order to complete this kind of upgrade.

Your license entitles you to support and to maintenance, but only up until the expiration date.  After that date, standard licenses still allow you to use the product (except data center), just not update it.   Since Jira 7.10.2 was release within the last few days/weeks, you certainly can't use a 2017 license in order to update to this version.

Hi @Vickey Palzor Lepcha

In this case, this user has a starter license.  That means that when they go to the URL you linked to, their questions are directed here to Community, since starter licenses only have access to Community, and not to the other support channels (select, priority, or premier).

I appreciate your efforts to try to help here and thank you.  However if this user followed your instructions he would be stuck in a loop, which isn't a great experience for him.
