Unable to add issue to epic in new Jira Issue View

so the new Jira Issue View is rolling out to some of our projects.

Previously, when viewing an epic, there used to be a small + sign at the top right of the issues list that let you add an issue directly to the epic.

In the new view, I can't see any way of doing that. The only I can see is to do a normal new issue, and then manually associate it with the epic. Is this just an oversight that wasn't checked for functionality in the new view?

I believe this was reported to Atlassian, if I am reading your post correctly. Can you take a look at JSWCLOUD-17084? Let me know if this isn't it.
