Unable to change Issue type of an existing JIRA

I have added a new issue type (Enhancement) to existing issue types (Bug, Story). I am now unable to change the Issue type for existing JIRAs.

When I open a JIRA and lets say it is a bug, I'd like to change it to an Enhancement. However, I don't see "Issue Type" field anywhere, not do I see any drop down that will help me covert the bug to an enhancment.

Please help.

You should be able to do that through a Move https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/move-an-issue/

Please verify that your user has the Move Permission in the permission scheme.

Before I suggest a solution. Check if you have issue type field is added in edit screen and in the example specified by you does Bug and Enhancement have same set of workflows ?

You should be shown this option there you can change the issue type

Other option would be Try doing bulk edit for the changing issue type
