In this workflow, I can change the status of the issue to anything but QA. When I change the status of the issue to say from 'In Review' to 'QA', it remains as 'In Review' however I get the message as status of the issue has been updated. What can be done to resolve this? Please note that user of this is not admin. It will be either developer or tester.
Check if there is a Condition on the Workflow between In Review -> QA
Edit the workflow and let us know what you see on that transition
As it is shown in the pic, there is not predecessor defined. and hence it can be changed from any status to any other status. but it is not working so with the status 'QA'

To be explicit, Fadoua is asking you to check the "All" transition that goes into QA (the "all" means it comes from all other status, but you get a hard-to-read spider web if you draw them individually, so "all" is a neater way of showing it)

Thank you @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-! I completely missed to tell the user that's at the "All" transition level

Thank you @Nic Brough (Adaptavist) and @Tinker Fadoua ! I have raised a ticket on JIRA for the same. Waiting to hear from the JIRA admin.
