As an alternative to Jira Automation that can be sometimes quite limited and complex, I can suggest trying our app Elements Copy & Sync. It allows you to perform issue cloning really easily without having to struggle with technical Automation rules.
The error suggests that the Component field is required, it can't proceed because this field needs to be populated during the creation. You can either make the Component field optional or add a default value to avoid this error.
